The Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test 2025 (October Session) will be conducted online (CBT) by the School Education Department, GoAP. As per Notification No. 01–APTET–OCTOBER–2025 (24-10-2025), this test ensures national standards of teacher quality under RTE Act and NCTE norms. Download Official Notification.

AP-TET Application Fee

  • ₹1,000 per paper (Paper-1A, Paper-1B, Paper-2A, Paper-2B)
  • If applying for multiple papers, pay ₹1,000 for each.

AP-TET Papers & Applicability

  • Paper-1A: Teacher for Classes I–V (General Schools)
  • Paper-1B: Teacher for Classes I–V (Special Schools)
  • Paper-2A: Teacher for Classes VI–VIII (General Schools)
  • Paper-2B: Teacher for Classes VI–VIII (Special Schools)
  • Candidates with both D.El.Ed and B.Ed who wish to be eligible for Classes I–VIII may appear for all four papers.

AP-TET 2025 applies to schools under RTE Section 2(n). Schools under 2(n)(iv) may consider CTET or AP TET. Non-approved private school teachers are not exempt from TET.

AP-TET Eligibility

  • Paper-1 (I–V): 12th + D.El.Ed / B.El.Ed (or final-semester pursuing)
  • Paper-2 (VI–VIII): Graduation + B.Ed / B.A.B.Ed / B.Sc.B.Ed (or final-semester pursuing)
  • Special Education variants must be RCI recognized; general courses must be NCTE recognized.
  • Age: 18+ (no upper age cap mentioned for TET).
  • Final-semester candidates can appear, but for recruitment they must possess the final qualification.

In-service teachers (per SC judgments 2023 & 2025): Those recruited prior to RTE and having ≤5 years to retire must qualify TET. Existing SGTs/SAs without TET may appear in their relevant papers.

  • 150 questions | 150 marks | 2 hrs 30 mins | No negative marking

AP-TET Syllabus 2026

Paper-1A / 1B (I–V):
Child Development & Pedagogy, Language-I (Tel/Urdu/Hindi/Tamil/Kannada etc.), Language-II (English), Mathematics, Environmental Studies.

Paper-2A / 2B (VI–VIII):
Child Development & Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II (English), Maths & Science or Social Studies (as applicable).

AP-TET Apply Online: Step-by-Step (2025)

  1. Go to tet2dsc.apcfss.in
  2. Read Information Bulletin carefully.
  3. Pay fee (₹1,000 per paper) in the given window.
  4. Register & fill AP TET 2025 application (choose Paper-1A/1B/2A/2B).
  5. Upload photo & signature; preview before final submit.
  6. Save/print the application & payment receipt.

Important: After final submission there is no edit. If you must correct, submit a fresh application with fee within the window.

AP-TET Hall Ticket Download 2025

From 03-12-2025, download at tet2dsc.apcfss.in:

  • Enter Candidate ID / Mobile / Aadhaar → Download
  • Verify photo, paper, date, session, and exam center details.
  • Carry photo ID + Hall Ticket to the center.

Normalization & Qualifying Marks

Normalization will be applied across shifts (official formula in notification; marks computed to 5 decimals).

AP-TET Results 2025

  • AP TET results declared on 19-01-2026 (after final key).
  • Marks Memo / Certificate will be available online only.
  • Attempts: Unlimited; you may reappear to improve score.

AP-TET Weightage in Recruitment

  • In AP Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT): 20% weightage = AP TET score, 80% = TRT written test for final selection list.

Exam Centers

  • Centers across district HQs / municipalities / revenue divisions / mandals; may extend to adjacent districts in neighboring states based on volume/subject.
  • District choice via portal (first-come-first-serve). Department’s allocation is final.
