Scientists from the Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeosciences (BSIP) reconstructed nearly 4,000 years of climate, vegetation, and flood history of Majuli Island using pollen analysis (Palynology) and grain-size analysis on a 150 cm sediment core from the Sakali Wetland. This is the first comprehensive palaeoecological reconstruction of Majuli Island.
MAHA Water Mission – ₹200 Crore for Water Sector Research and Innovation

The missile hit a predefined target with pinpoint accuracy, with all mission objectives verified by tracking instruments at the Integrated Test Range.
India Receives Fourth Squadron of S-400 Air Defence System
India received the fourth squadron of the Russian-made S-400 Triumf air defence system in May 2026, under the $5.43 billion India–Russia deal signed in 2018.
