APPSC Group 2 Notification 2026: Vacancies, Syllabus & Exam Dates

There are two types of posts in the Group 2 exam. Executive and Non-Executive posts.
Executive Posts:
1. Municipal Commissioner Grade-III
2. Sub-Registrar Grade-II
3. Deputy Tahsildar
4. Assistant Labour Officer
5. Assistant Registrar
6. Prohibition & Excise Sub-Inspector. etc.
Non-Executive Posts:
1. There are various senior-level posts, Junior Assistant cadre, and Assistant Section Officer kind of posts available in Non-Executive Posts.

The Cut-off marks for APPSC Group 2 Prelims will be around 65 – 80, depending on the category.

The Pattern of Group 2 exam 2026 is the same as the previous notification, the Group 2 exam 2023.

Awareness is the most important thing before starting any job preparation. Follow these simple steps to start your Group 2 Preparation.
1. Learn the syllabus first. Get Aware of every topic in the syllabus.
2. Solve (Analyze) Previous Year Question Papers. See how questions are framed on each topic.
3. Start preparation with the State SCERT 6th to 10th books (almost the same as NCERT 6th to 10th), then 11th to 12th NCERT books.
4. For Advanced Level Preparation, refer to Telugu Academy Books and Famous Authors books for each Subject.
5. Always prefer one standard book for one subject and read it multiple times till you make the shortest notes of each topic.
6. Buy any standard Mock Test Series and Practice as many mock tests as possible.
7. Attempt Mock Test, Analyse solutions, Prepare well, and Repeat till you get the job.
8. Finally, Time is Your Money. So, don’t get distracted by social media (shorts, reels, and notifications).

If you are a beginner to preparation and you are doing any job or studying, you have to spare at least 5 hours a day and 12 hours during holidays to complete the syllabus in one year. If you are already in a government job, you need to spend at least 4 hours a day and one mock test per week to review your performance for APPSC Group 2 preparation.

To prepare for APPSC Group 2 without coaching, you must develop a disciplined, focused, and self-motivated personality. Self-discipline becomes your biggest asset. I also maintained self-discipline during my preparation.
Along with Self-discipline, you should develop these characteristics.
Consistency: Study daily with a fixed schedule. Even 4 focused hours are better than 10 distracted ones.
Curiosity: Stay curious about current affairs, polity, history, and administrative systems.
Resilience: You’ll face moments of self-doubt or confusion—develop mental toughness to bounce back.
Time Management: Efficiently balance static subjects and current affairs.
Goal-Oriented Thinking: Keep short-term and long-term goals. Track your preparation according to your schedule.
Minimalism: Avoid distractions, unnecessary Telegram channels, and too many resources. Stick to core books and trusted sources.
This right mindset will make your self-preparation more powerful than any coaching institute.

Yes. Because, AP government released a job calendar showing all the notifications to be filled in this year. As per this on September 15, 2026 you can expect Group 2 notification.

There is no official limit on the number of attempts for Group 2 jobs. You can apply as long as you are eligible at the time of notification.
