This is India\u2019s first-ever initiative to establish integrated REPM manufacturing capacity of 6,000 MTPA, covering every stage from rare earth oxides to finished magnets.  REPMs are critical components used in electric vehicles, renewable energy systems, electronics, aerospace, defence, and consumer devices. India currently imports most of its REPM requirement, but domestic demand is expected to double by 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scheme Highlights:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Total Outlay: \u20b97,280 crore\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u20b96,450 crore \u2014 sales linked incentives for 5 years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u20b9750 crore \u2014 capital subsidy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Capacity Allocation: 6,000 MTPA to be distributed among 5 beneficiaries (up to 1,200 MTPA each)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scheme Duration: 7 years<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"cabinet-approves-scheme-to-promote-sintered-rare-earth-permanent-magnet-manufacturing-1\">Chairperson of International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar will assume the Chairship of the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA) for the year 2026. International IDEA, founded in 1995, is an inter-governmental organisation that works to strengthen democratic institutions and processes globally. It currently has 35 member countries, with the U.S. and Japan as observers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"cabinet-approves-scheme-to-promote-sintered-rare-earth-permanent-magnet-manufacturing-1-1\">Basic Animal Husbandry Statistics (BAHS) 2025<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry &amp; Dairying released the Basic Animal Husbandry Statistics (BAHS) 2025 on National Milk Day (26 November 2025). Krishnan, one of India\u2019s pioneering geologists and former Director of the Geological Survey of India.
