PM Modi Launches PM Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana and Pulse Self-Reliance Mission
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched two major agriculture-focused initiatives — the Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana (PMDDKY) and the Pulse Self-Reliance Mission (Dalhan Atmanirbharata Mission) on 11 October 2025.
- The PM Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana, inspired by the Aspirational District Programme, aims to develop 100 backward agricultural districts by integrating 36 government schemes related to farming, irrigation, livestock, and natural farming.

Sugamya Bharat App
The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, launched the revamped “Sugamya Bharat App” at the Purple Fest 2025 in Goa. Redesigned with an accessibility-first approach, the app serves as India’s digital accessibility hub, providing persons with disabilities information on schemes, scholarships, jobs, and grievance redressal related to accessibility issues.

- According to the report titled “India’s Electronics Leap”, the country’s electronics production has increased six-fold, from ₹1.9 lakh crore in 2014–15 to ₹11.3 lakh crore in 2024–25.
- Mobile phone production alone surged 28 times to ₹5.45 lakh crore, while exports grew 127 times to ₹2 lakh crore, making India the world’s second-largest mobile phone manufacturer.
- Over the last decade, the electronics sector has generated 25 lakh jobs, supported by key government schemes such as the Production-Linked Incentive (PLI), SPECS, and the newly launched Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS).
- India aims to build a $500 billion domestic electronics ecosystem by 2030–31, establishing itself as a global technology leader.

- Archaeologists from the Tamil Nadu State Department of Archaeology (TNSDA) have uncovered significant evidence of Iron Age culture at Thirumalapuram in Tenkasi district, near the Western Ghats.
- The first season of excavations revealed a 35-acre burial site featuring urn burials, including a rectangular stone slab chamber made of 35 slabs.
- Artefacts discovered include 78 antiquities made of bone, gold, bronze, and iron, such as swords, daggers, spearheads, axes, tweezers, and gold rings.
