DigiLocker National Conference
The National e-Governance Division (NeGD), Ministry of Electronics & IT, organised a major national conference on “DigiLocker – Enabling Paperless Access for All” at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Key announcements included the introduction of AI-based eKYC, plans for global credential verification, and expanded use cases across education, fintech, governance, and value-added services.
Seven states were recognised as DigiLocker Accelerators for their rapid adoption and innovative integrations.

UNFCCC CoP30 Leaders’ Summit 2025
India delivered its National Statement at the Leaders’ Summit of UNFCCC CoP30 in Belém, Brazil, reaffirming its commitment to equitable climate action. India also joined Brazil’s new global initiative the Tropical Forests Forever Facility (TFFF)—as an Observer, aimed at safeguarding tropical forests.
India’s achievements:
- 36% reduction in emission intensity of GDP (2005–2020)
- Non-fossil fuel installed capacity exceeding 50%
- Creation of 2.29 billion tonnes CO₂ equivalent additional carbon sink
- Nearly 200 GW renewable capacity, making India the third-largest producer of renewable energy
- Expansion of global initiatives like the International Solar Alliance (120+ countries)
Rules for “Sustainable Harnessing of Fisheries in the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ)
Union government notified Rules for “Sustainable Harnessing of Fisheries in the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) recently.
Rules:
- Empowering Cooperatives and Community-Led Models
- Comprehensive Support and Capacity Building
- Curbing Harmful Practices, Promoting Sustainable Fishing and Mariculture
- Digital and Transparent Access Pass Mechanism for EEZ Operations
- Regulatory Reforms, Sea Safety and Coastal Security
India’s long coastline of over 11,099 km and vast area of Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of more than 23 lakh square kilometres provides livelihood support to more than 50 lakh fishermen community across 13 maritime States and UTs. Marine fisheries also plays significant role in country’s blue economy by seafood exports and providing nutritional support to the millions of people.
About ReALCRaft portal
The ReALCRaft portal, developed as a national online platform by the Department of Fisheries, provides web-based, citizen-centric services to marine fishers and coastal States/UTs for the registration and licensing of fishing vessels, transfer of ownership, and related processes, thereby promoting ease of doing business. At present, around 2.38 lakh fishing vessels across 13 coastal States and Union Territories are registered on the portal, including about 1.32 lakh motorized boats and 40,461 non-motorized traditional crafts. These fishing vessels will now be exempted from obtaining Access Passes for fishing in the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of India.
National Urban Conclave 2025
The National Urban Conclave 2025 was held in New Delhi on 08 November 2025. During this conclave several initiatives were launched. Those are:
- Dumpsite Remediation Accelerator Programme (DRAP) : A year-long, mission-mode scheme aimed at fast-tracking the remediation of remaining dumpsites across urban India. The programme seeks to reclaim valuable urban land for community and infrastructure development, thereby achieving “Lakshya Zero Dumpsites” by September 2026.
- Swachh Bharat Mission – Knowledge Management Unit (KMU): The KMU will serve as a national platform for capacity building, knowledge creation, and institutional learning under the Swachh Bharat Mission Urban framework.
- Urban Invest Window (UiWIN): UiWIN is a HUDCO-led initiative under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. It acts as a one-stop investment facilitation platform to help Indian cities attract private investments and secure long-term, concessional financing from global institutions like the World Bank and ADB.
- Jal Hi Janani: The AMRUT anthem ‘Jal Hi Janani’ was launched for highlighting the importance of water in day-to-day life.
National Legal Services Day – 09 November
November 9 is celebrated as the National Legal Services Day to commemorate the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987, which led to the establishment of organisations providing free legal aid to the needy. The theme for National Legal Services Day 2025 was “Justice for All: Through the Lens of Legal Aid”.
President of India’s State Visit to Angola
President of India visited Angola and Botswana, marking the first-ever visit by an Indian President to Angola. She held bilateral talks with Angolan President João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço.
Key highlights:
- Discussions covered energy security, trade diversification, technology, agriculture, defence, health, and infrastructure.
- Two MoUs were exchanged:
- Fisheries, Aquaculture & Marine Resources
- Consular Cooperation
- Angola announced its decision to join the International Big Cat Alliance (IBCA) and the Global Biofuels Alliance (GBA).

Seven Major Industries Launched in Kuppam
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for seven major industries in Kuppam (Chittoor district), marking a major boost for the region’s industrial development. The projects involve a total investment of ₹2,203 crore over 241 acres, expected to create over 22,000 direct and indirect jobs.
List of New Industries Announced:
- Hindalco – ₹586 crore aluminium extrusion unit for high-end mobile/tech components
- Srija Dairy – ₹290 crore integrated dairy and cattle-feed unit
- Ace International – ₹525 crore greenfield dairy protein complex
- SVF Soya – ₹373 crore edible oil & soy protein unit (benefiting 2 lakh farmers)
- Mother Dairy – ₹260 crore juice and pulp processing plant
- E–Royce EV – ₹200 crore electric vehicle manufacturing unit
- ALEAP Women’s Industrial Park – ₹27 crore project supporting 4,000 women entrepreneurs
NaBFID Sanctions ₹7,500 Crore Loan for Amaravati LPS Villages
The National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development (NaBFID) has released a ₹7,500 crore loan to the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA). The funds will be used to develop infrastructure in 29 Land Pooling Scheme (LPS) villages of Amaravati, where farmers had surrendered land nearly a decade ago with the promise of receiving developed plots.
Kumki Elephant Training Camp in Chittoor
Deputy Chief Minister Andhra Pradesh inaugurated the newly established Kumki Elephant Training Camp at Musalimadugu village, near the Koundinya Wildlife Sanctuary in Chittoor district. The 20-acre camp has been developed to train Kumki elephants specifically to address the growing human–elephant conflict, especially in areas where wild herds migrate from Tamil Nadu and Karnataka through Mudumalai and Bannerghatta sanctuaries.
