VINIMAY: Land Port Management System (LPMS) Launched
Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched the Land Port Management System (LPMS) – ‘VINIMAY’ in New Delhi on 9 June 2026. The system has been developed by the Land Ports Authority of India (LPAI) to modernize and digitize land border management.

Zojila Tunnel Achieves Major Breakthrough
The country witnessed the breakthrough of the main tunnel at the eastern portal of the Zojila Tunnel Project at Minamarg in Kargil district on 9 June 2026. This marks a major milestone towards achieving all-weather connectivity between Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
