Prime Minister Modi visited Mumbai on 08 October 2025 and inaugurated various projects.

Navi Mumbai International Airport was launched

Mumbai’s first fully underground metro stretching Line 3 (Aqua Line) was inaugurated,

Mumbai One – Integrated Common Mobility App was launched. This enables citizens to use a single digital ticket for metro, monorail, suburban trains, and buses. This initiative promotes One Nation, One Mobility.

India’s Largest Greenfield Airport inaugurated

The Prime Minister recently inaugurated Navi Mumbai International Airport. The Navi Mumbai International Airport, developed under a Public–Private Partnership (PPP) model at a cost of around ₹19,650 crore, is India’s largest Greenfield airport project. The airport, designed in the shape of a lotus flower, symbolizes India’s cultural heritage and prosperity. Once fully operational, it will handle 90 million passengers annually and 3.25 million metric tonnes of cargo, establishing Mumbai as one of Asia’s top aviation hubs.

India Mobile Congress 2025

The Prime Minister of India inaugurated the 9th edition of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025 at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi.

This event was jointly organized by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI).

The Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India, has expanded the National Agriculture Market (e-NAM) by adding 9 new agricultural commodities, increasing the total number of tradable commodities to 247.

  5. Lavender Oil
  6. Mentha Oil

MoU Signed Between Ministry of Minority Affairs and IIT Palakkad for Skilling Project under PM VIKAS Scheme

The Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Palakkad, Kerala for implementing a skilling project under the Pradhan Mantri Virasat Ka Samvardhan (PM VIKAS) scheme.

The project aims to empower individuals from minority communities by providing future-ready technical skills in emerging domains. Under this collaboration, 400 candidates will be trained —

  • 150 as Junior Chip Designers,
  • 150 as Embedded Software Engineers, and
  • 100 as Junior Engineers (Drone R&D).

The entire training cost will be covered by the Ministry of Minority Affairs.

The Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), led by Union Minister Prahlad Joshi, announced plans to showcase India’s PM-KUSUM and PM Surya Ghar (rooftop solar) programmes in African and island nations through the International Solar Alliance (ISA) platform.

The ₹34,000-crore PM-KUSUM scheme, launched in 2019, aims to strengthen solar energy infrastructure in agriculture by setting up 100 GW of solar power plants on farmer-owned land. While the scheme initially targeted 308 GW by 2022, the goal has now been revised to 348 GW by March 2026.

SIPB Approval ₹87,520-Crore AI Data Centre by Raiden (Google Subsidiary) in Visakhapatnam

The Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB), chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has approved a proposal by Raiden Infotech India Limited, a subsidiary of Google, to establish an AI-powered data centre in Visakhapatnam with an investment of ₹87,520 crore.

The total investment approved in 11 SIPB meetings is ₹7.07 lakh crore.
