Teesta River Project

India stated that it will factor all related developments while formulating its overall approach to the Teesta River issue after Bangladesh and China discussed the Teesta River Comprehensive Management and Restoration Project (TRCMRP) during Bangladesh Chief Adviser-designate Tarique Rahman’s visit to China. India reiterated that its development assistance to Bangladesh is based on a mutually agreed roadmap and noted that discussions on the Teesta water-sharing agreement have remained unresolved since 2011.

Keiko Fujimori Wins Peru’s Presidential Election

Assam Produces and Auctions India’s First Commercial Matcha Tea

India achieved a milestone in the tea sector as Chota Tingrai Tea Estate in Tinsukia district, Assam, successfully produced and auctioned the country’s first commercially produced matcha tea. The inaugural batch of 5 kg was sold at the Guwahati Tea Auction Centre for ₹3,000 per kg, marking India’s entry into the premium matcha tea market.

Prime Minister’s Visit to Gujarat

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the CG Semi OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test) facility at Sanand, Gujarat.
• It has an initial production capacity of 20 crore chips annually, with a target of 500 crore chips per year in the future.
• The project is a collaboration between Indian, Japanese, and Thai companies, strengthening international cooperation in semiconductor manufacturing.

Prime Minister’s Visit to Rajasthan

Viksit UDAN Scheme

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Modified UDAN Scheme (Viksit UDAN) from Jodhpur Airport.
• The Union Cabinet approved the modified scheme on 25 March 2026 with an outlay of ₹28,840 crore for the next 10 years.

LokOS: Digital Backbone for Rural Livelihoods under DAY-NRLM

The Government of India highlighted LokOS (Lok Operating System) as a key digital platform strengthening rural livelihoods under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM). LokOS enables end-to-end digitization of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and their federations, promoting transparency, financial inclusion, and efficient governance. Recently launched SHE-LEAPS is also implemented under the LokOS platform to support women-led rural enterprises.

• It is a web and mobile platform developed under DAY-NRLM for the end-to-end digitization of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and Community-Based Organizations (CBOs).
• The platform digitizes member records, savings, loans, repayments, financial transactions, livelihood activities, and convergence with government schemes.
• SHE-LEAPS, launched on 29 June 2026, operates under the LokOS platform to promote women entrepreneurship and the Lakhpati Didi Mission.
