Safran Aircraft Engine Services India (SAESI) was inaugurated in Hyderabad

  • SAESI is Safran’s dedicated Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility for LEAP (Leading Edge Aviation Propulsion) engines, which power the Airbus A320neo and Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.
  • This is the first time, a global engine OEM (original equipment manufacturer) has set up an MRO operation in India.
  • Developing indigenous capabilities in MRO will reduce foreign exchange outflows, create high-value employment, strengthen supply-chain resilience and position India as a global aviation hub.

PM to Inaugurate Skyroot’s Infinity Campus & Unveil Vikram-I

  • Prime Minister inaugurated Skyroot Aerospace’s Infinity Campus in Hyderabad on 27th November, and also unveil Vikram-I, the company’s first orbital launch vehicle capable of placing satellites into orbit.
  • Skyroot’s new facility spans 2,00,000 sq. ft., designed for designing, developing, integrating, and testing multiple launch vehicles with the capacity to build one orbital rocket every month.
  • Skyroot Aerospace, founded by Pawan Chandana and Bharath Daka, is India’s leading private space startup. In November 2022, it launched Vikram-S, becoming the first Indian private company to reach space.

Exercise SURYAKIRAN XIX

The 19th edition of Joint Military Exercise SURYAKIRAN XIX (2025) between India and Nepal has commenced at Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, and will be conducted from 25 November to 08 December 2025.

National Milk Day – 26 November

National Milk Day is observed on 26th November every year to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. Verghese Kurien, regarded as the “Father of the White Revolution” in India. The National Milk Day 2025 theme is “Let’s Celebrate the Power of Dairy. India has consistently retained its position as the world’s leading milk producer, contributing nearly one-fourth of global output.

Assam introduces Anti-Polygamy Bill 2025

Assam has introduced the Assam Prohibition of Polygamy Bill, 2025 making polygamy a criminal offence in the State (except Sixth Schedule areas).
The Bill prescribes:

  • Up to 7 years jail + fine for entering into a second marriage while the first is valid
  • Up to 10 years jail for hiding an existing marriage
  • Double punishment for repeat offenders
  • The law does not apply to Scheduled Tribes under Article 342
  • Village heads, qazis, parents/guardians who enable such marriages may also face penalties
  • Persons convicted will be barred from govt jobs, schemes, and elections
  • Contracting polygamous marriage outside Assam is also punishable if the person is a resident or receives State benefits
  • Polygamous marriages before enactment will not be affected if valid under personal/customary laws

Andhra Pradesh Government Approves Creation of Three New Districts

The Andhra Pradesh government has approved the formation of three new districts — Polavaram, Markapuram, and Madanapalle, increasing the total number of districts from 26 to 29. The decision was taken after reviewing recommendations from the Ministers’ Committee.

  • Polavaram District
    • Headquarters: Rampachodavaram
    • Revenue Divisions: Rampachodavaram & Chintoor
    • Population: 3.49 lakh
  • Markapuram District
    • Revenue Divisions: Markapuram & Kanigiri
    • Population: 11.42 lakh
  • Madanapalle District
    • Revenue Divisions: Madanapalle & Pileru
    • Population: 11.05 lakh

Additionally:

  • Five new revenue divisions will be created Nakkapalli, Addanki, Pileru, Banaganapalle and Madakasira.
  • A new mandal Pedda Harivanam will be carved out from Adoni mandal.
  • Penugonda mandal in West Godavari district will now be called Vasavi Penugonda.
  • Nine districts will remain unchanged: Vizianagaram, Parvathipuram Manyam, Visakhapatnam, Eluru, Krishna, NTR, Guntur, Palnadu and Anantapur.
