GeoSADAK – GIS-Based Platform for Rural Connectivity Under PMGSY

GeoSADAK, developed by the National Rural Infrastructure Development Agency (NRIDA), is a powerful web-based GIS tool designed to modernize the planning and monitoring of rural road projects under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).

The platform ensures data-driven decision-making, improves transparency, and enhances efficiency in rural connectivity projects across India. It enables authorities to geo-tag rural habitations, map road networks, verify project proposals through satellite imagery, and prioritize routes based on traffic flow using its built-in “Trace Maps” algorithm.

As part of the government’s digital governance push, GeoSADAK also offers open access to critical PMGSY datasets, making rural infrastructure information available to the public for research and transparency.
